Card number three in my Holiday Card Series is here! This is one of those cards that just makes me smile and the best part, you could easily duplicate this card in bigger quantities if you needed too.
This card was CASED (Copy And Share Everything) from Barb Mullikin. Her original used more traditional colors, but I wanted to keep with the blues and gray, like my last HCB card.
Below you will find measurements, directions on how I assembled this card project along with a list of Stampin’ Up! supplies used. When typing out tutorials, I try to keep them simple and easy. If you have any questions when reading over the tutorial, feel free to contact me and I will be more than happy to help you out.
Until next time … get creative.
Smoky Slate Textured Card Base: 4-1/4 × 11, scored at 5-1/2
Island Indigo Layer: 4 × 5-1/4
Whisper White Layer: 3-3/4 × 5
Adhere the Island Indigo card stock to the Smoky Slate Textured card base.
Using the En Français background stamp, ink the stamp with Costal Cabana ink. Place your Whisper White card stock on-top of the stamp and using scrap paper, press down to get the image onto the card stock.
Punch a 2-1/2 inch circle out of Whisper White card stock and sponge around the edges with Costal Cabana ink; this will be the base of the snowman face. Next, take the Cupcake Builder punch and punch the circles (sprinkles) twice, five will be used for his smile. Use the Owl Builder punch and punch-out the two largest circles; this will be his eyes. Cut out a small carrot shape using a scrap piece of Tangerine Tango card stock. Add your pieces to the Whisper White circle to make his face.
For the snowman’s hat, use Basic Black card stock and punch-out one Word Window and 1″ Square. Adhere the square punch-out to the back of the Word Window punch-put. Using a corner rounder, round the corners of the square to give the hat a more finished look. Use Snail adhesive to attach the hat to the top of the snowman’s face. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the snowman’s face to the card.
Ink the Merry Christmas sentiment from Sassy Salutations in Island Indigo and stamp it underneath the snowman’s face.
