When I first started re-designing Studio Onyx, I wanted to try and give back more to the design community. I mean for the past two years or more I have been given the best resources across the world and all for free.

If you are a designer I’m sure you all know the latest and greatest places. There are hundreds if not thousands of places to go online and download free content. Well I want to be a part of this community and that’s what I’m hoping in the future to accomplish. This is where The Onyx Studio comes into play.

Once completed this section of Studio Onyx, will house all the down-loadable content free to all users who visit. As of right now there are no set plans to release any content because of current projects. However, I would like for you, my visitors to share your ideas with me. Leave me comment, Tweet me message or even send your suggestion via the contact form. I will keep a file with all the suggestions and hopefully in the future be able to create what you, the visitors want to see.

I look forward to reading your suggestions and will be sure to keep you all up-to-date on the latest! It’s going to be fun!

So the past couple of weeks I’ve been thinking of what I want to do with Studio Onyx. To make it more “alive” than what it has been in the past couple of months. I’m hoping to get everything all sorted by mid-summer.

New posts will be made every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. These three days are set for posts that will occur every week. I currently have Monday and Friday’s posts covered; I just need to think of what to do on Wednesday. Suggestions are welcomed.

I’m going to be transiting my Tumblr account into a sub-domain here on Studio Onyx. This will help keep content separate. Studio Onyx will focus on design while my Tumblr account will focus on personal life and many other topics not related to design.

In a goal to make Studio Onyx more appealing and more organized I’ve also decided to do a reboot of my current theme. As of right now it’s still in the Photoshop phase but it’s coming along nicely and I’m stoked about it. More details will come available in the future.

Besides working on the reboot for Studio Onyx a friend and I are teaming up and will be releasing a new website. I can’t go into very many details because we’re still in the developing stages but we hope it’s something everyone will enjoy.

So as you can see I have my plate full right now. Besides all the web things I have going on my personal life is pretty pack too. Enjoy the start of summer and be safe!

It’s a great pleasure to announce that Studio Onyx has now been approved to be a Authentic Jobs affiliate and I couldn’t be anymore thrilled about it. What is Authentic Jobs you ask? Click the continue reading link below to find out!

Authentic Jobs is a targeted destination for web & creative professionals, and the companies seeking to hire them. Since 2005, qualified candidates have been applying for great opportunities at Apple, Backcountry.com, Comcast, Electronic Arts, ESPN, Estee Lauder, Facebook, Fluidesign, frog design, Garmin, HBO, HP, HUGE, Magnani Caruso Dutton, Meetup.com, The Motley Fool, MSNBC.com, Phinney Bischoff, Skype, Sony BMG, Turner Sports Interactive, and many other companies large and small.

If you’re looking to find the latest and hottest jobs, Studio Onyx will display the latest job openings from Authentic Jobs, located to the right. Click the opening you’re interested in and get information on the company, what they are looking for, along with any job perks they might offer. If you are interested, view the How To Apply information at the bottom of the post for contact information. It couldn’t be easier!

Not looking for a job? Want to post a new job opening? Posting a new opening is just as easy. Select the type of job your looking for, fill in the short form and your all set to rock ‘n’ roll. If you’re not 100% satisfied with the results from your listing, request a full refund within 30 days after your listing expires. No questions asked. Promise.

If the above isn’t enough to get you on board with Authentic Jobs here are some testimonials provided by companies who were looking for that potential employee and found them.

Authentic Jobs helped us reach the exact type of people we were interested in, and ultimately landed us the designer we were looking for.

– Matt Wigham, Founder, Indie Labs / Big Cartel

Finding talented designers and Flash developers has been a struggle for us in the past. I was hesitant to use Authentic Jobs—figuring, like other job boards, I’d only get replies from off-shore dev shops. I was thoroughly surprised to get resumes from several talented candidates—both in the US and abroad. I’ll definitely be using Authentic Jobs in the future.

– Erik Dungan, Co-founder, BIG Folio

I think your site is fantastic, and have been amazed at the responses I’ve received. I really couldn’t possibly be happier with the results.

– Rudy Rouhana, Rights Agent

In conclusion, Authentic Jobs, is overall one of the best “job boards” I’ve found in the longest time and I’m glad they have given me the opportunity. All I can say is give Authentic Jobs a chance. You just never know what the future holds.

Authentic Jobs Inc., was founded by Cameron Moll.

First, let me start off by saying that Studio Onyx isn’t closing or being revamped again. Most people who read posts with titles like the ones I’ve written are likely to think one way.

That isn’t the case here. I’ve been doing some thinking over the past week, and have come to the conclusion that I’m not the type of person who can sit down and type a post or a bunch of posts a day. It’s just isn’t me.

So from today and moving forward; Studio Onyx will be just my portfolio and freelance website. If I do post a blog post, it will be related to the design world, or something to do with Studio Onyx (i.e. new projects). If I do create a more personal blog, I will post the link but for right now there are no plans for that. In the next couple of days, there will be some minor changes and updates happening to the site. I’ll make a complete log of these changes once they are all finished.

I’m still currently attending Sessions College, where I will continue my studies in web design with two concentrations, one in advanced web design and the second in Flash design. So focusing on school is important right now and once I finish I will have the needed skill set to bring your design to life with a little more punch.

Hello everyone! Well it’s been far to long since I’ve done this, but glad to be back. The first thing I want to do is thank Erik for all the help he has given me these past months. It’s been a long haul but it’s finally done.

Secondly, the theme you are viewing is temporary. I’m in the middle of creating my own WordPress theme for Jason-Loucks.com. At this time there is no timeline of when the theme will be released. Heck, it’s still in the Photoshop phase. So just bear with me. Between school, personal life and I hope a new job, finding time to do everything that needs to be done is tough.

Thirdly, I also want to give a huge shout out to Rebecca. She helps me to make sure that my entries don’t have ton of grammar issues. If you are a Harry Potter fan, be sure to check out her writings!

So now the million dollar question. What is the purpose of this site/journal? Well I want to be able to share with my latest findings on the web, write reviews on topics that interest me and let you come a little closer into my personal life. A journal is a place to write or in this case type your thoughts and that’s what I plan on doing. My goal is to try and type something everyday or even multiple times a day. We will see how that goes.

So until next. Take care of yourself and each other.
